About the role
JBS Townsville is recruiting an experienced Stockperson to join its team in a full-time position, reporting to the Head Stockman. Working with a small team, the role involves mustering, penning, drafting and moving stock each day, along with animal husbandry, feeding and yard work, monitoring stock health and other general duties. The position is five days per week, Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Muster, pen up, draft and move stock each day
- Animal husbandry, feeding and yard work

- Carry out other general duties
Required profile
- Strong horsemanship skills
- Your own horses and riding equipment
- Commitment to animal welfare and safety
- Team-focused attitude with good communication skills
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster
