Steel Erector – T2D Project

About the role
EIR Labour Hire is hiring a temporary steel erector for the T2D project, based initially in Torrensville, South Australia. The work starts immediately, 7am to 3pm, as part of a construction crew following site direction and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Operate construction equipment such as cranes, EWP's and forklifts.
- Read blueprints to determine material requirements.
- Install and secure structural steel members using hoist cables and bolts.
- Hoist, position and fasten steel beams and columns with cranes.
- Dismantle structures or equipment as needed.
- Carry out pre-operational inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Apply dogging, rigging and crane operation knowledge for safe lifting.
- Maintain and service rigging and crane equipment.
