Squad Lead, System of Work Tooling

About the role

Medibank Group is looking for a strategic Squad Lead to shape the systems, tools and ways of working that enable teams across Medibank to plan, govern, deliver and measure change. As Squad Lead for System of Work Tooling, you will own the vision, strategy, governance and evolution of the enterprise delivery system and its integrated Atlassian ecosystem, including products, configurations, workflows, data models, automations and AI capabilities. The role works across Delivery Excellence, Technology, Product, Risk and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the product vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for the enterprise delivery system.
• Own and prioritise the product backlog based on business value, user needs, operational performance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide end-to-end ownership of the integrated Atlassian toolchain, including products and integrations.
• Set platform architecture, configuration, workflow, permissions and operating standards.
• Build a trusted enterprise delivery data model connecting objectives, portfolios, initiatives, teams and outcomes.
• Deliver dashboards, reporting and insights for evidence-based decisions.
• Lead adoption of AI and automation, including Atlassian AI, Rovo, intelligent agents and automated workflows.
• Improve UX through onboarding, training, support and feedback.
• Embed governance, auditability, traceability and risk-in-change requirements.
• Lead and develop a small direct team while influencing a wider community of practitioners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience leading complex delivery systems, technology platforms or enterprise products.
• Experience working with Atlassian products, integrated toolchains, workflows and platform configuration.
• Ability to turn enterprise requirements into practical, scalable product capabilities.
• Understanding of automation and AI opportunities in enterprise delivery.
• Practical understanding of governance, assurance, risk, security, privacy and compliance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and people leadership skills.
