About the role
Join the Early Start Australia Graduate program as a Speech Pathologist in Hobart. You will work within a close‑knit allied health team, receive dedicated clinical supervision and mentorship, and make a positive impact on children and their families.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver early‑intervention speech pathology services to children and families, supporting communication, participation and independence.
- Conduct comprehensive formal and informal assessments to identify speech, language and developmental needs.
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence‑based therapy plans aligned with family goals.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams using a key‑worker/transdisciplinary approach.
- Monitor, review and adapt therapy programmes based on client progress and feedback.
- Provide education, resources and ongoing support to empower families in home‑based practice.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports and NDIS‑related records within required timeframes.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders such as schools, health professionals and support coordinators.
Required profile
- Relevant qualification in Speech Pathology and membership/registration with the SPA.
- Current Driver’s Licence, vehicle and Working with Children Check (or equivalent vulnerable‑people registration).
- NDIS worker screening check, Police Check and accredited First Aid & CPR certificate.
- Strong communication, organisational, observational and report‑writing skills.
