Speech Pathologist – Community Based

About the role

Join Ability Action Australia’s growing team as a Speech Pathologist based in the Central Coast region. You will manage a community‑based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings, supporting participants of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload covering early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
• Provide support for feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop participant‑centred goals.
• Deliver evidence‑based therapy that enhances communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Required profile

• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership with SPAP.
• Passionate about community‑based support for people with disability.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Required skills

• Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) interventions.
• Knowledge of dysphagia assessment and management.
• Ability to conduct standardised speech and language assessments.
