About the role
The Taxation group is seeking a solicitor with 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience to join its Sydney team, working on income tax matters for a diverse client base.
Key responsibilities
- Provide tax advice and draft legal documents for domestic and multinational corporates across sectors such as financial services, technology, telecommunications, health and mining.
- Advise on tax issues arising from business acquisitions, disposals, restructures, employee share plans, corporate distributions, cross‑border and complex finance transactions.
Required profile
- Recognised tax experience gained in a legal or accounting firm, particularly in corporate advisory or financial services.
- Excellent analytical, communication and research skills, with a strong commitment to client service and business development.
Required skills
- Experience drafting opinions and legal documents (or willingness to develop these skills).
- Ability to undertake detailed legal research, including the appropriate use of AI tools.
