Software Engineer – High Availability Platform

About the role

Join the ACIL Tribe at carsales to design, build and support high‑availability, low‑latency software solutions for dealership customers. You will work with modern agile practices to deliver scalable, quality code.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and maintain backend services using .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC and micro‑service architecture.
• Implement frontend features with Angular or React and ensure seamless integration with backend APIs.
• Apply event‑driven patterns such as CQRS, Event Sourcing and message queues to build distributed systems.
• Automate testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code on AWS.
• Collaborate across the ACIL tribe and broader carsales teams, sharing knowledge and fostering a strong engineering culture.

Required profile

• Strong experience in backend development within the .NET ecosystem.
• Proven frontend development skills with Angular or React.
• Hands‑on experience building event‑driven, distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud services.
• Commitment to clean code, TDD, DDD and continuous improvement.
