Software Engineer - Front End

About the role

Join Qantas' new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide as a Front‑End Developer. You will build high‑traffic, customer‑facing web applications using modern front‑end technologies and help deliver fast, secure, and reliable digital experiences for millions of travellers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deliver robust, scalable systems that power seamless digital experiences.
• Ensure software meets business outcomes, reliability, performance, security and data‑privacy standards.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to create high‑quality, well‑designed user interfaces.
• Monitor production systems using observability tools such as Splunk or Datadog and act on incidents.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building high‑traffic, customer‑facing web applications.
• Strong passion for UX, browser performance and accessibility.
• Highly dedicated ethos with accountability for the work delivered.
• Test‑and‑learn mindset, curiosity and collaborative attitude.
