Back-End Software Engineer – Product Innovation Centre

About the role

Join Qantas’ new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide as a Back‑End Software Engineer. You will design and deliver robust, scalable systems that enable seamless digital experiences for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems that power Qantas’ digital products.
• Design, implement and optimise APIs, micro‑services and event‑driven architectures.
• Ensure reliability, performance, security and data‑privacy of the services.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, preferably in backend development.
• Strong passion for clean code, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and collaborate with technical and non‑technical partners.
