Social Care Coordinator

About the role

Join Respect Masters Lodge in Hervey Bay as a Social Care Coordinator, leading a vibrant social care program that enriches the lives of older residents. You will work closely with the General Manager and the wider team to design and deliver resident‑focused activities and community connections.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and continuously review engaging social, recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to resident interests and abilities.
• Lead and support Social Care Assistants and volunteers, fostering strong relationships with local community groups, schools and sporting organisations.
• Facilitate resident meetings, encourage resident input in program planning, and maintain volunteer programs.
• Maintain accurate records, program registers, attendance logs and documentation, managing resources and budget within approved limits.
• Contribute to facility management meetings, strategic social care planning and compliance with policies, legislation and standards.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or a similar qualification.
• Experience supervising and delivering a social care program.
• Current First Aid Certificate, National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain), and Australian driver’s licence.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with a resident‑focused, empathetic approach.
