Community Manager

About the role

As Community Manager at Ocean View Retirement Village, you will lead day‑to‑day operations, foster resident satisfaction and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for senior Australians.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee village services including compliance, safety, security, facilities management and resident culture.
• Drive resident satisfaction through open communication, professionalism and regular community engagement.
• Manage community finance budgets, partner with internal finance teams and present updates to residents.
• Collaborate with on‑site maintenance, external contractors and Aveo Facilities to improve facilities and grounds.
• Lead people management: recruitment, onboarding, rostering, performance management and development of department managers and team members.
• Resolve issues, manage risks and ensure compliance with regulations such as DoA.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a customer‑facing operations or general manager role within hospitality, tourism, hotel or retirement living.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead large teams and diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex resident concerns and achieve positive outcomes.
• Resilient, self‑motivated with focus on KPI improvement, financial results and resident satisfaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience managing P&L budgets and presenting financial information.
