SMB Account Executive

About the role

As an Account Executive on Square’s SMB Market Team, you will bring Square’s integrated commerce ecosystem to new mid‑market sellers across diverse industries. You will own the full outbound sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and closing, delivering multi‑product solutions that address each merchant’s unique needs.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete outbound sales cycle with SMB merchants, from prospecting to close.
• Build and manage a high‑quality pipeline through cold outreach, social selling, and targeted campaigns.
• Develop multi‑product solutions across Square’s ecosystem and tailor them to each merchant.
• Partner with Business Development on lead flow while independently driving net‑new logo acquisition.
• Conduct discovery calls, demos, and negotiations across multi‑stakeholder deals.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, Implementation, and Operations to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting accuracy in Salesforce.
• Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of full‑cycle B2B sales experience with consistent quota achievement.
• Proven success in outbound prospecting and net‑new business creation, preferably in SaaS or fintech.
• Experience closing complex, multi‑threaded deals.
• Strong consultative selling skills and a hunter’s mindset.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team‑first environment.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
