Site‑based Quality Engineer – BESS Projects

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Site‑based Quality Engineer to support a utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. The role focuses on supervising electrical, instrumentation and civil inspections to ensure compliance with Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans.

Key responsibilities

• Check Inspection Test Plans against electrical activities and verify implementation.
• Ensure consumables, equipment and instrumentation are available, adequate and calibrated.
• Supervise and witness contractor inspections, verify reports and collect required quality records.
• Manage documentation for tests, controls and inspections, ensuring retrievability for the As‑Built dossier.
• Prepare the quality works dossier for final hand‑over to the Document Controller.
• Oversee the Non‑Conformance Report (NCR) management process and ensure effectiveness.
• Report daily, weekly and monthly on QA/QC requirements using client‑specific forms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Prior experience on BESS projects.
• Previous experience as a quality engineer, preferably on renewable‑energy projects.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Site‑based experience in renewable‑energy environments.
