Site Supervisor

About the role

Alder Group is expanding its Civil & Infrastructure division and seeks an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to join the Brisbane team. You will lead on‑site activities, coordinate subcontractors and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality and safety outcomes.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labour crews and internal resources.
• Maintain daily records, diaries and assist the engineering team with cost control and productivity tracking.
• Communicate program updates to the project team and subcontractors.
• Ensure environmental controls are implemented and reviewed.
• Liaise professionally with clients and stakeholders to uphold Alder’s reputation.
• Participate in WHS inspections, incident investigations and continuous improvement sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a civil construction supervisory role.
• Proven ability to work autonomously alongside engineers and manage site operations with minimal input.
• Strong understanding of civil works such as earthworks, pavements, buried services, structural concrete and landscaping.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, quality‑driven and focused on cost control.

Required skills

• Civil construction (earthworks, flexible and rigid pavements, buried services, structural concrete, landscaping).
• Ability to read and work to project drawings and specifications.
• Competent use of standard construction computer tools and mobile devices.
