Site Supervisor – Construction (Fixed‑Term 18‑Month)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join Maas Construct on a fixed‑term 18‑month contract. The role will oversee specific trade packages on major building projects, ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day construction activities for assigned trade packages, keeping work on schedule and to required standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trades, managing interfaces, sequencing and site access.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with site safety plans, method statements and quality control requirements; report risks, safety observations and quality issues.
• Maintain site diaries, daily inspection records and progress reports.
• Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions and manage workforce compliance documentation.
• Identify and document variation works arising within supervised packages.
• Liaise with the engineering team on design queries and inspection hold points.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising trade packages on major construction projects.
• Practical, hands‑on leader with strong construction knowledge.
• Clear communicator with trades, subcontractors and the project team.
• Reliable team player with strong record‑keeping skills.

Required skills

• Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Certificate IV in Building and Construction (or equivalent – desirable).
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, safe work method statements and construction site practices.
