Site Engineer – Civil (Retaining Walls)

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Site Engineer – Civil to join its Adelaide project team, focusing on the delivery of major civil works and complex retaining wall structures. Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will ensure safe, efficient and compliant execution of construction activities on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate site activities to meet safety, quality, cost and programme targets.
• Plan and execute construction works in line with approved drawings, specifications and methodologies.
• Take ownership of retaining wall construction, ensuring constructability and design compliance.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to achieve productivity goals.
• Maintain compliance with HSE, quality and environmental standards.
• Support project controls through progress tracking, cost management and reporting.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including QA records, inspections and as‑built data.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil infrastructure projects, especially retaining wall structures.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for Baseline Security Clearance (defence project requirement).

Required skills

• Retaining wall construction expertise.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and site controls.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• White Card (essential).
