Site Engineer – Civil & Mechanical

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking Site Engineers to join the Malabar System Alliance, a major wastewater renewal program for Sydney Water. You will work on complex civil and mechanical infrastructure upgrades across multiple sites in Sydney’s south and west, contributing to essential water services and sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities to meet project milestones.
• Monitor and report on workforce and subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, environmental, safety and commercial standards.
• Participate in design reviews, providing input on constructability, temporary works, safety, site access and related issues.
• Create, monitor and control project schedules.
• Plan and implement site establishment activities, including fencing, signage, environmental and traffic controls.
• Identify, analyse and mitigate risks, maintain a risk register and trigger corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with relevant professional certifications.
• Proven experience in on‑site engineering roles within construction environments.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities in dynamic settings.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with stakeholders, teams and regulatory authorities.
