Sessional Academic – School of Design (Design Majors)

About the role
The School of Design seeks experienced design professionals to join a pool of sessional academics. You will support learning and teaching for undergraduate majors such as Fashion, Industrial Design, Interaction Design and Visual Communication, as well as postgraduate Strategic Design.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tutorials, workshops and studio sessions aligned with course curricula.
- Assess and provide feedback on student assignments and projects.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
- Participate in unit coordination meetings and departmental activities.
Required profile
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree relevant to design.
- Current, relevant industry experience in a design discipline.
- Experience in teaching, tutoring or assessing design students.
- Willingness to complete QUT induction and mandatory online training.
- Based in the Brisbane region for face‑to‑face engagement.
