Senior Level Designer

About the role

Gameloft is seeking a Senior Level Designer to shape immersive worlds for upcoming games. You will work closely with the Lead Designer, Art Director, and Quest Designers to create visually appealing and functionally compelling environments.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the vision for a believable, immersive world that supports gameplay, narrative, and artistic goals.
• Drive creation of terrain, landscapes, and environmental features, providing high‑level direction and oversight.
• Design detailed environments such as towns, dungeons, wilderness areas, and points of interest, establishing key design principles.
• Collaborate with quest designers to strategically place content and ensure seamless integration.
• Provide feedback on level design iterations, focusing on playability, visual quality, and world immersion.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level designers, fostering technical skills and best practices.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional level design experience, preferably with open‑world or large‑scale action‑adventure games.
• Proven track record of shipping multiple titles in a game studio environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Passion for games and a forward‑thinking approach to immersive world creation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with world‑building tools such as Unreal Engine World Composition.
• Experience with terrain sculpting tools.
