Service Manager - Albany

About the role

Onetrak, a major Australian heavy equipment dealer offering new and used machine sales, hire, service and parts, is looking for an experienced Service Manager for its Albany branch. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will give direction and oversight to the service delivery team and workshop facilities while also working on the tools when required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality maintenance and repairs of heavy equipment in the workshop and field when needed, and prepare new machines for customer delivery
• Hold regular toolbox meetings, direct teams to daily work programs and set performance standards and work quality
• Mentor apprentices and ensure team skills and behaviours meet expectations
• Apply the HSE policy, assess hazards and risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Set forecasts and performance targets, report monthly against KPIs and run business improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Experienced service technician knowledgeable in construction/forestry and/or crushing and screening equipment
• Hands-on leadership experience, particularly in work safety initiatives
• Strong organisational skills, able to work with limited supervision and with a strong work ethic
• Ability to build customer relationships from enquiry to resolution and to follow company administrative processes
