Senior Veterinarian – Leadership Role

About the role

Greencross Fairy Meadow is seeking a Senior Veterinarian to lead a high‑performing team while maintaining hands‑on clinical work. The position covers a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with permanent options, offering a modern hospital environment and no after‑hours duties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire veterinarians and support staff to deliver outstanding patient and client care.
• Mentor and develop veterinarians at all career stages.
• Partner with Practice Manager, Area Manager and Regional Clinical Director to drive clinical excellence and business success.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and the local community.

Required profile

• Veterinary Science qualification from an AVBC‑accredited university or equivalent (NAVLE, AVE, etc.).
• Experience in a senior clinical or leadership veterinary role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CT imaging, DR radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy equipment.
• Experience in ICU, surgical theatres, dental and orthopaedic procedures.
