Senior Tax Controversy Specialist (Manager/Senior Manager)

About the role

PWC Australia is seeking experienced tax professionals to join its Tax Controversy team. You will work on high‑profile disputes with the Australian Taxation Office, supporting multinational and sophisticated private clients through audits, objections and appeals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage taxpayer disputes with revenue authorities and other government bodies.
• Prepare and submit responses to information requests, position papers and other technical tax submissions.
• Collaborate with other tax practice areas and industry experts to develop comprehensive strategies.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong experience in tax law with a proven track record of managing and resolving tax audits and disputes.
• Australian tax experience is essential.
• Innovative mindset, able to challenge conventional thinking.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
