Senior Tax Accountant – Financial Accounting & Tax

About the role

Corporate Advantage is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Financial Accounting & Tax team in Parramatta. This role offers the chance to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing practical financial and taxation advice while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business clients across multiple industries.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Prepare and review income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and self‑managed superannuation funds.
• Prepare and review BAS, IAS, FBT and payroll tax obligations.
• Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and relevant legislation.
• Provide proactive tax planning and business advisory services.
• Analyse financial performance and recommend improvements to profitability, cash flow and efficiency.
• Liaise directly with clients, delivering clear accounting and taxation advice.
• Support junior accountants through coaching, feedback and technical guidance.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal systems, workflows and client service delivery.

Required profile

• Technically strong with solid knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
• Commercially minded and client‑focused.
• Motivated to grow within a dynamic accounting practice.
• Experience managing a diverse client portfolio and reviewing junior staff work.
