Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

Leidos is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to provide Tier 2 support for a Federal Intelligence Agency contract. The role involves maintaining a large, hybrid Windows and RHEL environment that spans both CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Windows and Linux workstations, both virtual and physical, across multiple security enclaves.
• Troubleshoot application functionality, crashes, and performance issues for both Linux and Windows applications.
• Provide remote desktop support and Tier 2 incident resolution for end users.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with short‑term workarounds and long‑term solutions.
• Participate in special projects and respond to escalated service desk requests.

Required profile

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph, current within the last 5 years.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to work in small and large teams.

Required skills

• Active Directory administration, DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP.
• Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016 administration.
• Linux operating system support.
• Application troubleshooting (Outlook, Excel, Word, Java, Internet Explorer).
• PowerShell scripting, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
• Virtualization (VMware, Citrix) and Microsoft Exchange.
• ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems, ITIL v3 or higher.
