Senior Solutions Architect – Satellite Broadband

About the role

Amazon Leo is building a low‑Earth‑orbit satellite network to bring fast, reliable broadband to underserved areas. The Senior Solutions Architect will lead the definition and delivery of end‑to‑end solutions for mobile network operators and other telecom partners.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with carriers, broadcasters, tower companies, maritime/aviation providers and rural broadband projects to shape product road‑maps.
• Design end‑to‑end architectures, run technical discovery sessions and create reference solutions and proofs of concept for LEO and hybrid networks.
• Translate customer requirements into product direction, focusing on carrier‑grade networking, WAN, routing, traffic engineering, QoS and hybrid fiber‑wireless‑satellite connectivity.
• Develop new offerings that bridge physical network constraints with scalable IP and cloud‑integrated architectures.
• Produce technical content such as reference architectures, white papers, code samples and blog posts on edge compute, hybrid cloud networking and latency‑sensitive workloads.

Required profile

• 3+ years of design, implementation or consulting experience in networking or related infrastructure.
• 6+ years of experience in a technology domain such as networking, cloud computing or systems engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with carrier‑grade IP networking, routing, WAN architecture, traffic engineering and QoS.
• Familiarity with 4G/5G architectures, transport networks, backhaul systems or private wireless deployments.
• Understanding of satellite connectivity integration with edge compute and hybrid cloud environments.
