Senior Software Engineer - React, .NET, Azure

About the role

Orica, a global mining and civil blasting company, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Brisbane. You will design, build, test, troubleshoot and maintain software products that support business and customer needs, working in an agile team on new product development, feature enhancements and defect resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Follow WHS policies and procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
• Design, develop and test software for GroundProbe's current and future products.
• Gather, analyse and define software requirements for new products and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure reliable system performance.
• Estimate effort, size work packages and support delivery timelines.
• Take part in every stage of the SDLC, from concept and design to deployment and maintenance.
• Perform unit testing and maintain well-documented code with clear comments, source control updates and issue-tracking records.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience building and deploying .NET microservices, REST APIs, Docker-based applications and cloud-native solutions.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and documentation skills, and a collaborative, self-driven approach.
