Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Anduril Industries is building next‑generation autonomous systems for defense, including the Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (XL‑AUV). The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will design, implement and sustain the software delivery toolchains that enable rapid, secure deployment of these capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development and support of cloud‑native delivery pipelines that accelerate capability delivery across multiple security classification domains.
• Manage ICT infrastructure across cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms (VMWare ESXi) as well as operating systems (NixOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Windows).
• Oversee orchestration tools such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform, and application‑layer services like GitHub Enterprise and CircleCI.
• Contribute to Nix‑based build and deployment systems and support limited ICT hardware management.
• Champion security best practices throughout the toolchain and mentor software engineers across disciplines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Senior‑level experience delivering software or hardware systems with mature delivery, security and operations capabilities.
• Proven ability to design, implement and operate horizontally‑scaled cloud technologies and troubleshoot remotely deployed systems.
• Capacity to own a software service end‑to‑end, engage stakeholders, define roadmaps and guide sustainment.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
