Senior Site Manager – Substation Construction

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead a $40M+ substation construction project. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee a greenfield site, manage a workforce of around 40 staff and subcontractors, and ensure safe, efficient delivery of the build package.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions for all staff and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily site diaries, manage project issues and liaise with statutory bodies.
• Organise site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants.
• Assist the Senior Project Manager with scope preparation and contract understanding.
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of site supervision experience on large industrial or commercial projects.
• Trade or building‑related qualification.
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card and Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
