Senior SAP Payroll Consultant (ECP)

About the role

Medibank is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Payroll (ECP) Consultant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role leads the design, configuration, support and enhancement of SAP Payroll solutions, acting as a trusted advisor to Payroll, HR, Finance and IT stakeholders so that payroll remains accurate, compliant and efficient, while supporting day-to-day operations and strategic transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert production support for SAP Payroll (ECP), resolving complex issues and ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Configure and maintain payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, finance postings and integrations
• Lead design, requirements gathering and delivery of enhancements and transformation projects
• Support payroll testing, including SIT, UAT, regression and parallel payroll runs
• Manage legislative updates such as STP, Payday Super, taxation and superannuation changes
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders on best-practice solutions

Required profile

• Extensive experience in SAP Payroll, ideally Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
• Proven experience in payroll production support, project delivery and payroll integrations
• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills

Required skills

• Payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, IDOCs, G/L posting, STP, terminations and payroll reporting
• Desirable: SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Payroll Control Centre, Workforce Software and S/4HANA exposure
