Senior Salesforce Omnistudio Developer - Government IT Consulting

About the role

A respected IT consultancy in Canberra is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer / Technical Consultant to deliver advanced Salesforce solutions for a public sector client. This is a casual, ongoing role in the inner north region of Canberra, with a competitive hourly rate of $120-$150 including superannuation. The work focuses on government projects centred on cybersecurity, and the candidate must be an Australian citizen eligible for an NV1 security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Salesforce solutions aligned with detailed public sector project requirements.
• Configure and tailor Salesforce capabilities to support business workflows in government environments.
• Work with stakeholders and project teams to refine technical specifications and deliver effective solutions.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, improve existing Salesforce implementations and keep systems stable.

Required profile

• Proven hands-on experience developing Salesforce, including Apex and Lightning Web Components.
• Experience with Salesforce digital engagement framework components in live environments.
• Demonstrated success delivering Salesforce solutions for complex public sector projects with strong stakeholder collaboration.
• Eligibility to obtain or current holding of an Australian government security clearance and Australian citizenship.

Required skills

• Salesforce development: Apex, Lightning Web Components, OmniStudio (OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures), Aura Components, Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS), Experience Cloud, Salesforce Flows.
• Additional technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
