System Administrator - Canberra (PV)

About the role

Vertical Scope Group is expanding its Professional Services Division and is seeking an expert, trusted and reputable System Administrator to join a multi-year, multi-million-dollar engagement supporting a large ICT organisational uplift within the National Intelligence Community. The role is based in Canberra and requires an active TS PV security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the configuration and sustainment of Linux-based ICT infrastructure (physical and cloud-managed), including servers and/or network devices.
• Use automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible and others to prepare and replicate system builds.
• Configure and sustain core services for systems, including monitoring, syslog and authentication.
• Maintain the reliability of ICT infrastructure through configuration automation, upgrades, patching and monitoring, using version control systems.
• Communicate with diverse stakeholder groups in technical and business terms.
• Maintain technical documentation in line with industry standards.

Required profile

• Experience in government environments, ideally within Defence and/or National Intelligence Communities.
• Active TS PV security clearance.
• Canberra-based.
