Senior Sales Consultant

About the role

Smaart Recruitment is recruiting, on behalf of an established Melbourne-based data and technology business, a Senior Sales Executive. The business offers identity verification, AML/CTF and data products through software platforms and APIs, with growing demand in Australia and plans to expand internationally. The role covers opening new business and taking larger deals from first conversation through to contract.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business across Australia through your network and proactive outreach
• Understand client needs and position the right identity, compliance or data solutions
• Manage the full sales process, including discovery, proposals, negotiations and close
• Build relationships with multiple stakeholders and navigate longer enterprise sales cycles
• Work with product and technical colleagues on complex client requirements
• Share market feedback and support less experienced sales colleagues

Required profile

• Experience winning new B2B business and managing deals through to contract
• Confidence building relationships with senior decision makers
• Able to create their own pipeline while progressing existing opportunities
• Interest in mentoring others while staying hands-on in sales
• Experience in identity verification, AML/CTF or financial crime technology is highly regarded; strong salespeople from related SaaS or data markets will also be considered

What we offer

• $120k - $150k base plus super and commission
• Remote across Australia or office-based in Melbourne (hybrid)
