Senior Quality Test Engineer II

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Test Engineer II to join our Sydney team and drive automation across API, application and UI layers. You will work closely with engineering, product and UX teams to ensure high‑quality releases for our digital identity verification platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own test automation strategy, design, implementation and maintenance.
• Develop automated tests using Node.js, JavaScript, Mocha, WebdriverIO and Appium.
• Design automation for complex workflows, including authentication, session management and webhook validation.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to automate new features and regressions.
• Log, track and document bugs using bug‑tracking tools, and assist in their resolution.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups and QA planning meetings to report progress and risks.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to think like a developer and understand production‑quality test code.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently while validating code correctness.
