reagroup · Richmond
Job description
About the role
REA Group is hiring a Senior Product Manager for a permanent full-time role in Richmond, supporting the AI Enrichment and Listings Enrichment squads. These squads build high-value machine learning models and data products that power search, content enrichment, personalisation, consumer engagement, lifecycle marketing and customer insights. The role sets the direction for these squads, owns the long-term vision behind audience modelling and segmentation, and works with a broad group of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Set the direction for AI Enrichment and Listings Enrichment, connecting each squad's capabilities to clear customer and business outcomes.
- Own the long-term vision behind audience modelling and segmentation, influencing other customer-facing products and roadmaps.
- Find and prioritise opportunities where better data, models or platform capabilities make a measurable difference.
- Own outcome-oriented roadmaps, balancing scale and reuse with near-term market responsiveness.
- Identify new data-acquisition opportunities and build business cases to secure investment.
- Make trade-offs between immediate product outcomes and reusable platform investment, data quality, model quality, reliability and technical-debt reduction.
- Partner with product teams across REA, support discovery and educate them on how AI/ML can enhance their products.
- Advise on growing, evolving or retiring products, and champion data quality (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency, security/privacy).
- Work with engineering and data science/ML on model design, experimentation, offline and online evaluation, serving, monitoring, back-testing and measurement.
Required profile
- Significant product management experience with AI/ML products, data products, platforms or complex technical domains.
- Experience moving models, data products or platform capabilities from discovery through production, adoption and lifecycle management.
- Track record of prioritising reusable capabilities across multiple consuming teams and use cases.
- Excellent stakeholder leadership and communication, including the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgement, able to connect product metrics to business performance.
- Able to lead a cross-functional team through discovery, delivery, adoption and continuous improvement.
- Curiosity about emerging data, AI/ML and platform practices, and the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of model and data-product lifecycles, including training, evaluation, serving, monitoring, retraining and deprecation.
- Familiarity with data governance, privacy, security, responsible AI and model-risk concepts is well regarded.
What we offer
- Hybrid and flexible working approach.
- Flexible leave options, including birthday leave and the option to purchase additional leave.
- Parental leave offering for primary and secondary carers.
- The "Because We Care" program: employee volunteering leave, community grants, matched payroll giving and a Community Café that donates 100% of its revenue to charity.
- Hackdays to bring big ideas to life.
