Senior Product Designer

About the role

Dovetail is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape intuitive, high‑quality experiences for its Customer Intelligence Platform. This full‑time, in‑person role is based at the Surry Hills office and focuses on visual design, prototyping, usability testing, and evolving the design system.

Key responsibilities

• Champion customer feedback in every decision, using research, archetypes, and journey maps to build shared understanding.
• Design simple, intuitive, and delightful product experiences that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, GTM, leadership, and other designers to ship high‑impact features.
• Prototype and pair with engineers, ensuring implementation meets a high quality bar.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system alongside engineers.
• Help shape design team culture, scaling rituals, maintaining quality, and tackling cross‑product challenges.

Required profile

• Strong product design experience, especially with modern B2B cloud software in fast‑moving teams.
• Ability to move from discovery through detailed design, quickly visualising and prototyping concepts.
• Curiosity about AI tools and fast‑prototyping approaches.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Clear communication, stakeholder management, and collaborative working style.
• Pragmatic mindset comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and early‑stage startup pace.

Required skills

• Experience with visual design, prototyping, usability testing, and design systems.
