Senior Procurement & Sourcing Manager (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

Join a globally recognised higher education organisation as the Senior Procurement & Sourcing Manager. You will lead sourcing strategy execution and oversee end‑to‑end procurement operations in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of sourcing strategies for complex, high‑value procurement needs.
• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement operations, ensuring governance, compliance and reporting standards.
• Manage supplier relationships, including onboarding, performance management and ongoing evaluation.
• Drive contract management activities, monitoring compliance and performance against key metrics.
• Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies to support collaboration and service excellence.
• Lead budgeting, financial planning and resource optimisation for the function.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure adherence to risk management, legislative requirements and workplace health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven procurement experience in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong background in category management, sourcing strategies and supplier relationship management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing team performance and development.
• Advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Experience with procurement systems, processes and governance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, planning and project management skills.
• Relevant qualifications or professional membership (e.g., CIPS or ISM) desirable.
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship.
