Senior Principal Flooding Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Principal Flooding Engineer with over 15 years of experience, you will lead the delivery of flood management projects, ensuring developments are flood‑appropriate and meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support projects across lifecycle stages, including large‑scale flood mapping, council‑based flood mitigation prioritisation, concept design, drainage scheme works and flood impact assessments.
• Financially manage projects by forecasting, monitoring time and cost, maintaining budget health and obtaining client approval for scope changes.
• Prepare project deliverables and documentation that meet client requirements for moderately complex projects.
• Participate in client management and support broader business development activities.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in a similar flood engineering role.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications; CPEng and/or NER highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Flood mapping and flood mitigation design.
• Drainage scheme design and flood impact assessment.
• Project financial management and budgeting.
