Senior Power Systems Engineer

About the role

Join a leading Australian engineering consultancy as a Senior Power Systems (Design) Engineer. You will lead power system studies, design HV/MV networks, and support testing and commissioning while mentoring junior engineers on diverse industrial and utility projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive power system studies and develop protection coordination schemes.
• Design HV/MV reticulation networks and earthing systems for industrial, mining, and utility clients.
• Support testing, commissioning, and on‑site troubleshooting at client locations.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified Electrical Engineer.
• Experience in power system modelling and HV/MV protection engineering.
• Proven ability to design earthing systems.
• Background in an industrial consulting environment.
