Senior Partnerships Manager – Australia

About the role

Square is looking for a Senior Partnerships Manager to develop and own a portfolio of strategic partners in Australia. Reporting to the Partnerships Lead, APAC, you will design, negotiate and scale partnerships that drive seller acquisition and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and secure high‑impact partners, leading executive‑level negotiations and closing deals.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Legal to ensure smooth execution and maximum impact.
• Deliver measurable results in lead generation, seller acquisition and pipeline contribution.
• Launch product partnerships with clear go‑to‑market plans, co‑marketing initiatives and integrated roadmaps.
• Build and sustain C‑level relationships with partners for long‑term value creation.
• Define, track and optimise KPIs to drive continuous partnership growth.

Required profile

• 8+ years in the payments space, covering business development, strategic or product partnerships.
• Proven track record of structuring, launching and scaling high‑impact partnerships.
• Strong negotiation and executive relationship management skills.
• Ability to connect partnership strategy to measurable seller acquisition and revenue outcomes.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with global teams and thriving in a collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of payments, SaaS, fintech or related ecosystems.
• Expertise in partnership negotiation, activation and scaling.
• Experience with co‑selling, co‑marketing and product enablement initiatives.
