Senior Medical Officer - Rural Generalist

About the role

Moranbah Hospital, part of Mackay Hospital and Health Service, is seeking applications for a Senior Medical Officer - Rural Generalist to join its team on a permanent full-time or part-time basis; temporary positions are also considered. The role provides high-quality clinical services in a supportive rural team environment, with close professional links to Mackay, and supports continuity of care across the Bowen Basin and greater Whitsunday area.

Required profile

• A qualification from a registered tertiary institution and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practising certificate.
• Fellowship as a Rural Generalist (FACRRM or FRACGP-RG or RACGP + FARGP with RANZCOG Assoc Advanced Procedural or equivalent).
• For appointment as a Rural Generalist (Level 18-27) or Provisional Fellow (Level 13-14), qualifications in one or more advanced skill disciplines from ACRRM or RACGP.
• Credentialling and Scope of Clinical Practice maintained in line with MHHS policy, including ongoing CPD requirements of an enrolled college.
• Declaration of any current, criminal or significant past disciplinary proceedings or restrictions on clinical practice.
• Vaccination against the diseases listed in the role description.
