Senior Manager – Specialised Credit (Agribusiness & CRE)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Specialised Credit (Agribusiness & Commercial Real Estate) leads a dedicated line‑2 team within ANZ’s Business and Private Bank Risk division. Reporting to senior risk leadership, this role ensures high‑quality credit decisions and robust portfolio outcomes across the bank’s agribusiness and CRE exposures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the specialised credit team for agribusiness and commercial real estate, delivering sound credit decisions and maintaining portfolio quality.
• Influence strategic credit and portfolio decisions through trusted partnerships with senior business and risk stakeholders.
• Provide independent risk oversight on complex credit exposures, balancing commercial objectives with prudent risk management.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, enhancing credit expertise and portfolio stewardship.
• Champion a strong risk culture by ensuring effective governance, policy adherence, and transparent risk reporting aligned with the Group’s risk appetite.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience within specialised credit, agribusiness, or commercial real estate.
• Strong stakeholder influencing skills and ability to manage executive‑level relationships.
• Advanced credit assessment, decision‑making, and risk management capabilities across specialised credit portfolios.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex credit structures and drive continuous improvement.
