Senior Manager - Process and Controls Monitoring

About the role

The Senior Manager, Process & Controls Monitoring in Group Operations will strengthen ANZ's control environment by leading data‑driven monitoring and assurance activities. You will evolve the oversight approach, improve insight quality, expand coverage and use analytics, automation and emerging technologies to deliver actionable risk insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead independent, data‑led assessments of business processes and controls to evaluate design effectiveness, operational performance and regulatory compliance.
• Use data, analytics and automation to identify trends, emerging risks, control weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and influence stakeholders to prioritise remediation.
• Partner with business leaders, control owners, risk specialists and assurance teams to enhance risk capability and foster a strong risk culture.
• Drive continuous improvement of testing methodologies, governance practices, reporting and assurance frameworks for greater efficiency, consistency and scalability.
• Manage a portfolio of controls monitoring activities across the business.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in risk, controls or assurance within a financial services environment.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering continuous improvement and sustainable risk outcomes.
