Senior Manager - Corporate Tax

About the role

EY's Corporate Tax team is growing as demand for its market-leading work increases, and it is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join a collaborative, fast-growing team in Brisbane (Meanjin). You will help clients navigate complex tax matters and manage their tax obligations, working alongside highly experienced professionals across Australia to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day operations, corporate income tax compliance and the preparation and review of income tax returns and accounting calculations.
• Deliver corporate taxation advisory and compliance services, and support senior team members on complex engagements such as ATO risk reviews, audits and ruling application processes.
• Lead and mentor managers, senior consultants, consultants and graduates, acting as a counsellor for juniors and helping build a positive, high-performance team culture.

Required profile

• Detailed knowledge of the Australian taxation system, with 6 to 10 years' experience in a professional services firm or comparable industry role.
• Strong communication skills and confidence leading direct engagements with clients on substantive tax matters.
• CA qualification or equivalent, or completion of other postgraduate studies (e.g. Tax Masters); technical knowledge of IFRS and Tax Accounting is an advantage but not essential.

Required skills

• Corporate income tax compliance calculations, processes and ATO lodgement obligations.
• Technical knowledge of IFRS and Tax Accounting (advantageous).
