About the role

Senior in‑house legal counsel providing expert advice across a wide range of banking matters. You will partner closely with senior leaders to support strategic initiatives in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality legal advice to business units, senior leaders and executives on diverse issues.
  • Support major projects and transactions, including regulatory changes and risk‑exposure responses.
  • Interpret complex legislation and develop policy and risk‑management strategies.

Required profile

  • Legal qualification and admission to practice in Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in banking or financial services legal roles (private practice or in‑house).
  • Strong relationship, communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex legislation and manage regulatory change.
