Senior Lecturer, Nursing

About the role

Adelaide University is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Nursing for its School of Nursing and Midwifery at the Adelaide East Campus. This is a full-time, continuing, balanced teaching and research academic position based in Adelaide CBD. The Senior Lecturer develops, delivers and coordinates courses in undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs and contributes significantly to research and HDR supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and coordinate courses within undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs
• Contribute to research and supervise higher degree by research (HDR) candidates
• Make a distinguished contribution to the school's teaching and learning strategy and research development in nursing
• Carry out activities to maintain and develop research and professional growth, both independently and as part of a team

Required profile

• Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, and a doctoral degree (PhD) relevant to nursing
• Demonstrated senior academic experience teaching undergraduate, preregistration and postgraduate nursing students
• Academic leadership experience in curriculum development, course design and course writing
• Established a research portfolio with competitive external funding, refereed journal publications and/or quality NTROs
• Experience supervising coursework and HDR candidates to timely completion
• Experience administering university courses and applying university policy, including external program accreditation requirements
