Senior Internal Events Producer and Operations

About the role

Reporting to the Global Internal Events Lead, you will own the production and operational backbone of Canva's flagship internal programs. The role is based full‑time on site in Sydney with flexibility to work from home, and you will collaborate with global Vibe leads to ensure a consistent, high‑quality experience across all campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end production of Tier 1 internal events such as Season Openers, Company Goal Celebrations and Droptober, managing briefs, timelines, budgets and on‑the‑ground delivery.
• Oversee agency and vendor relationships, set quality standards and ensure deliverables meet Canva’s brand expectations.
• Build and maintain operational systems, templates, playbooks and budget visibility to make the events team more scalable and less reactive.
• Act as the primary escalation point for the execution team, handling operational complexity before it reaches senior leadership.
• Partner with Vibe leads across global campuses to align regional programs, ensuring local relevance while preserving a unified Canva experience.

Required profile

• Significant experience producing large‑scale experiential programs from concept to delivery, including keynotes, hospitality and activations.
• Strong operational instincts with a track record of building systems and processes that turn chaos into clarity.
• Budget fluency – comfortable owning sizable budgets, presenting to senior stakeholders and finding efficiencies.
• A genuine creative voice with the ability to contribute ideas that shape the experience.
• Global perspective – understanding how programs need to adapt across different markets.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, building trust quickly with diverse audiences.
