Senior Hydrogeologist

About the role

Join AECOM’s national hydrogeology team to deliver robust groundwater solutions for mining, infrastructure and environmental projects across Western Australia. The role can be based in any AECOM office with occasional travel to Perth or project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver hydrogeological investigations and groundwater studies for major projects.
• Lead field programs including drilling oversight, aquifer testing, groundwater monitoring and sampling.
• Develop conceptual hydrogeological models and prepare assessments, licensing applications and technical reports.
• Manage projects or workstreams, coordinating resources, budgets, schedules and deliverables.
• Build relationships with clients, regulators and multidisciplinary teams while mentoring junior hydrogeologists.

Required profile

• 5+ years delivering hydrogeological investigations and groundwater assessments, preferably in mining or environmental consulting.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare high‑quality technical reports, proposals and interpret complex geoscientific data.
• Experience managing projects or technical workstreams, including budgets and schedules.
• Tertiary qualification in Hydrogeology, Geology, Earth Science or related discipline and a current manual driver’s licence.
