Senior Principal Closure Engineer

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a Senior Principal Closure Engineer to lead mine closure planning and design in Brisbane, supporting both local and national projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage mine closure plans, designs, cost estimates and strategic reviews.
• Lead technical engineering design activities such as landform design, slope stability analysis, tailings cover and surface water management.
• Collaborate with national closure practitioners and deliver business strategy for closure and remediation.
• Develop regulatory documentation and conduct site visits as required.
• Manage project delivery, proposals and lead a team of closure specialists.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in mine closure planning or engineering design within the resources sector.
• Engineering degree (Civil, Mining, Environmental or equivalent).
• Proven commercial acumen, client relationship management and business development experience.
• Strong project management skills across all project life‑cycle stages.
