Senior Air Monitoring Technician

About the role

Trinity Consultants Australia is looking for a Senior Air Monitoring Technician to join its Brisbane team. The role involves extensive field work, including stack emission testing and ambient air monitoring, supporting both existing clients and new project opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Complete required health and safety training such as Safe Work at Heights and Elevated Work Platform Operator.
• Set up equipment and collect air emissions samples at industrial sites, often working at heights.
• Assist with operating ambient air monitoring and laboratory equipment, including maintenance, calibration and repair.
• Enter data and results into spreadsheets and sampling reports, and prepare timesheets and expense claims.
• Travel to sites as required, with up to 25% of projects involving short away‑from‑home stays.
• Maintain client relationships, uphold quality and safety standards, and stay updated on emerging air monitoring technologies.

Required profile

• Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
• Five or more years of environmental monitoring experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 kg, climb ladders and work at heights.
• Light vehicle driver’s licence.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a field team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and email.
• Practical manual dexterity with hand tools for equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry and generate sampling reports.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures for field work.
