Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

Make a meaningful impact on people, culture and business performance as a Senior HR Business Partner at Flinders Port Holdings. You will work closely with leaders across multiple portfolios, providing practical advice, coaching and people solutions that support teams and business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted partnerships with leaders, coaching them to lead teams, navigate change and achieve business goals.
• Provide practical HR advice across the employee lifecycle, including performance, conduct, employee relations and workforce planning.
• Identify and manage people risks, partnering with HR and IR/ER specialists on complex matters.
• Use workforce data and business insights to shape decisions, anticipate trends and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support talent, culture and engagement initiatives that strengthen capability and employee experience.
• Lead and contribute to people projects across the business, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver outcomes.

Required profile

• Experienced HR professional with strong relationship‑building and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to partner with leaders on employee and industrial relations, workforce planning and organisational change.
• Strong industrial and employee relations capability, with experience interpreting enterprise agreements, modern awards and employment legislation.
• Commercial acumen and sound judgement to balance business objectives, operational requirements, risk and employee outcomes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Relevant qualification in HR, psychology, business, law or equivalent practical experience.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
